The table below shows information about age, average income per person and population below poverty line in three states in the USA.
The table illustrates data related to underprivileged people in three different states in the USA, namely California, Utal and Florida.
Overall, except for Florida, the proportions of young people living under poverty line are higher than those of oldsters in their 60s. Besides, despite having the highest income per person, poor people in California constitute the most significant proportion of its total population when compared with other states.
Regarding two age categories of underprivileged people, it is evident that Florida has more people whose age is over 60 struggling with poverty than those under 18 with a gap of 7%. By contrast, 17% of the poor in California are children, which is 5% more than old people. Remarkably, Utal witnesses the biggest difference between the proportions of these two age groups with the figures are 28% for adolescents and 8% for the old.
A noticeable variation is also seen in the percentage of the population below poverty line in three states when California has the greatest poverty rate, at 16%. Moreover, nearly one-tenth and 12% of residents in Utal and Floria respectively have financial difficulties. Finally, in terms of average income, poor people in California and Florida shared similar wages, at around 22,500 dollars while those in Utal are paid 17,000 dollars.
