Overall, it can be seen that the total money spent by Australian
family on different items increased in most category. Also, electricity
and water were by far the highest expenditure.
Looking at the data in more detail, it is evident that the family
of Australian allocated 75 dollars per month on electricity and water
in 1990 and 120 dollars in 2001. In term of food and housing
expenditure soared by 5 dollars per month each. Moreover,
they spent 250 and 270 dollars on non-essential goods and services in
1991 and 2001 respectively.
Turning to the other two items, in term of clothing, there was a sudden
decrease which was 30 dollars in 1991 and 20 dollars in 2001.Also, the
second least a mount of money was allocated on transport, with 70 and
45 dollars monthly in 1991 and 2001 respectively.
