The table lists the proportion of various type poverty in Australia households in the year of 1999. It can be seen, the average of all household lived under poverty was about 11% respectively, and among them sole parent was the highest in percentages.
Looking at the detail, sole parent, couple with children and single, no children are dominated as vast majority percentages of proportion family lived under poverty in australia household. They counted over 10% respectively. Besides, there are three other types of family were the lower proportion of poverty. They are namely aged couple, single aged person and couple, no children. Each couple no children and single aged person were about 6% and 7% respectively. Followed by aged couple was the lowest , it counted 4% of proportion lived under poverty.
In conclusion, family types with the sole parents and single persons with no child shows highest percentages live under poverty than aged couple.
