The table below shows the worldwide market share of mobile phone market for manufacturers in the years 2005 and 2006.
The table gives information about the market shares of cell phone manufacturers in all over the world for two consecutive years, 2005 and 2006.
To begin with, in both years Nokia was clearly the market leader, selling 32.5% in 2005, and marginally more (35%) in 2006. Also Motorola increased its share slightly from 17.7% in 2005 to 21% in the year further on, whereas Samsung declined the amount of its sales by roughly 1% in above-mentioned years (from 12.7% to 11.8%).
Nevertheless, Sony Ericsson, BenQ Mobile, and L.G. were not so active in sales in comparison with aforementioned companies. Because in 2005 Sony Ericsson's share was 6.3% and L.G.'s was 6.7% and after one year these figures reached to 7.4% and 6.3% respectively. Besides, BenQ Mobile's share fell by half approximately (from 19.2% in 2005 to 2.4% in 2006). Moving to other companies, in this period of time, their share was shrunk slightly from 19.2% to 16.2% in above-mentioned years.
In conclusion, in contrast to other manufacturers Nokia was the most successful one and had the hugest market share.
