The table charts below provide information about the destinations and employment of UK first degree holders. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table and pie charts illustrate the destination and the salary ranges of UK 2009/2010 graduates.

In the table, overall, the pattern in graduates’ destination altered very little over the period from 2007 to 2010. To specify, the largest amount was seen in the full-time employment with around 60% over 4 years, followed by further study only with about 17%. In addition, while 7-9% graduates opted to mix part-time employed and study, 11-15% of graduates were unemployed.

In two pie charts, the general overview is that the majority of graduated students earned the salary between £15,000 and £25,000 per year with over 50%. Whereas, 21% of male graduates and 23% of female graduates have the lower salary. Nevertheless, in the higher salary bands, the percentage of women always surpassed by men. For instance, 23% of male graduates have the salary in the range from £25,000 to £40,000 compared to the figure of 16% in the male group. Surprisingly, only in the men group could we see the salary band of over £40,000.

In conclusion, although the plurality of students got a job after graduation, men tend to earned more than their female counterparts do.
