Given is the bar chart illustrating the passenger distance traveled by different means of transport in the UK in a 10-years gap starting from 1990.
Overall, the total of passenger kilometers traveled had an upward trend between 1990 and 2000; meanwhile, the distance traveled by bicycle and motorbike decreased slightly.
Regarding the length traveled by bus and rail, before they increased bitterly to approximately 44 billion kilometers in 2000, they were accounted for about 43 billions kilometers and 40 billion kilometers, respectively. Moreover, the bus constituted nearly a third of the total distance traveled by different ways of transport in 1990, which rose to 115 billion kilometers in 2000.
When it comes to the distance traveled by bicycle and motorbike, there were downward trends to 3 billion kilometers in 2000. In contrast, the aggregate kilometer commuted by air had an upward trend to 5 billion kilometers in 2000 starting from 2 billions kilometers in 1990. Although the length traveled by air is the lowest in 1990, after ten years, they passed by bicycle and motorbike.
