Task 1: The bar chart shows types of media to get daily news, by the age group 2011
Given is the bar chart depicting ways to acquire news among 5 age groups in 2011.
It is perceptible that except the under-17 group, Radio accounted for the majority of the others. Microblogging and radio have the same tendency, while social networking saw the downward trend.
Starting at 40%, the amount of radio users rocketed for 51%, to the peak in the 18-29 adolescent. The amount of radio users outnumbered of those in Social networking and Microblogging in the upper 17 age group. Although there were several changes in the percentage, decreased when people’s age went up, Radio still dominated the first rank.
Regarding two media left, the number of customers who use Social networking as the way to get news outweighed those in Microblogging. Appealing almost people whose age is lower-29, but this type of media is ignored by the adults, it witnessed the rapid drop when people’s age passed the milestone of 29, decreased for a half in 50-64 age group. On the other hand, Microblogging acquired for the minority, but the number of users in this media were stable, even when dropped or increased, the fluctuating percentage were not over 5%.
