The given table shows data about the registration of five types of vehicles in Australia in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
It is clearly that the number of registered vehicles in all the five categories increased over the period shown, with the figures for motorcycles had the most significant upswing. In addition, passenger vehicles are the most common mode of transportation among the five types.
In 2010, 11,800,000 registered passenger vehicles in Australia far eclipsed the other number of commercial vehicle (2,300,000), motorcycles (540,000), heavy trucks (384,000) and light trucks with the lowest level (106,000).
In 2014, the number of registered vehicles all went up, with the highest growth position was sill belonged to passenger vehicles ( 13,000,000 ) while the lowest one was light trucks (131,000). On the other hand, during this period, motorcycles and light trucks increased expressively in terms of percent, at 30.8% and 23.5%, while the others categories show a little bit less rises, 10.2% for passenger vehicles, 17.4% for commercial vehicles and 8.3% for heavy trucks.
