The given pie charts compare annual expenditure by a certain UK university and illustrate how the percentage changed between 1981 and 2001.Overall, this school have increased spending on insurance over the years. In addition, teacher’s and worker’s wages were the highest proportion in annual spending ratios.
To begin with, in 1981 teacher’s salaries started with nearly a half (40%) and gradually went up by 10% next year. However, in 2001 the percentage of it fell down slightly to 45%. Although this ratio had a downward trend, their salaries came out first in the spending of university. The university spent their budget on the second proportion is worker’s wages, despite the fact that it decreased remarkably over the year. In 1981 the ratio of staff’s earnings began with 28%, which was nearly twice as much as that in 2001 at 15%.
As regards the expenditure for insurance, unlike the proportion of worker’s pay stood the second rank while the quality dropped. The percentage of it experienced the strongest growth, however, it still stood at the bottom of the list. It started at 2% in 1981 and rose by 1% next year and continued to increase quadruple in 2001.
Turning to the ratio of resources and furniture & equipment, the spending for resources rose and dropped. In contrary, the other went down and went up. 15% of the university’s payment was on resources in 1981. After a quick increase in 1991, the figure significantly went down to only 9%. In spite of the fact that spending on furniture & equipment declined rapidly between 1981 and 1991, it rocketed to 13% in 2001.
