Essay topics:

The three pie charts show different accommodation choices by holidaymakers in the three
years 1965, 1985 and 2005.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making
relevant comparisons.

The pie charts show how people chose where to stay when they went on vacation in 1965, 1985, and 2005.
In general, people were more likely to stay in hotels and caravans and less likely to stay with friends or family or camp. Also, staying with friends or family or in a hotel are the two most popular choices over the years given, except for 1965, when staying with friends or family was the most popular choice by itself.
In 1965, about 55% of people chose to stay with friends or family. Then, in the next two years, this number went down sharply, from 50 percent to 35 percent and then to 30 percent. In the first year of the survey, camping made up one-third of the other choices, or 15%. After that, it went up a little to 18% in 1985, but then went down to 12% in 2005.

In contrast, only 16% of people chose to stay in hotels in the first year given. This number went up to 37% in 1985 and then to 38% in 2005, which is a big change. In 1985, caravans were the least common choice. They made up only 10 percent of the whole pie chart, down from 14 percent in 1965. In 2005, this number was twice what it was in 1985.
