The two given maps demonstrate an island’s changes that brought out by the development for tourism purposes.
Overall, from a desert island, after the construction, it became a crowded place with many new accommodations and facilities serving tourists.
This island was originally undeveloped entirely. There was almost nothing except for some coconut trees on two sides of the island. However, it underwent significant changes. In the central part, people buit two separate accommodations consisting of simple huts which were arranged around two circular footpaths. Between them, a reception area and a restaurant were located. Another pathway was also constructed, leading to the beach on the western edge of the island. There was a special area here where tourists can swim if they want.
Of paticular note is that access to the island was made possible by constructing a pier for tourists to land safely by boats or ships. A vehicle track then connected the pier with the reception area and cover a short distance path to the restaurant.
