More specifically, despite starting at roughly 8 and 7 billion of dollars, the amount of money spent on health field and other subjects increased and reached their peaks at over 22 and 8 billions dollars in 2004 and 2000 respectively. However, U.S government had reduced the money in health section to 18 billions dollars by 2008. Meanwhile, the figure for other fields dropped by 2 billions dollars at the end of the period.
On the other hand, although energy and general science observed a fluctuated trend over the period, the amount of expenditure which was exploited for them reached 9 and 5 billions dollars respectively in 2008. Additionally, space research experienced a marginal growth in the expenditure, which reached approximately 9 billions dollars in the final observed year.
