To what extent do you agree with the statement "English should not be taught in class. Students can learn English with resources online by themselves"
I don’t agree with the statement “English should not be taught in class. Student can learn English with resources online by themselves”.
Currently, English is an official subject taught in all schools in Viet Nam. Teachers educate us on how to learn, read, and write so that students can speak English more easily and fluently. Knowing English will help us have the opportunity to integrate more with countries all over the world, it functions as a key to unlocking the universe of science and knowledge. Students can speak directly with teachers in class, as well as communicate and practice immediately in class. Teachers create attractive and interesting lectures to attract students more, and when studying in class, teachers often assign exercises to students so that they can practice at home to practice better English learning skills.
If "you shouldn't learn English in class," I believe it is dependent on students' self-discipline and eagerness to study, because all social networking platforms all upload videos teaching English to students. We can learn through it, but it is really hard if we do not understand it or do not know how to learn. And students who learn English in class will be bound, forcing them to do it, and at home, it will be arbitrary. As a result, students will get lazy and their English learning progress will be slowed.
In short, I feel that English should be studied in class because it has many benefits for students.
