The table and graph indicate the amount of time males and females spend on different spare time activities as well as on household chores in the UK.
Generally, men and women used most of their spare time on digital means of entertainment. Sports were the least favourite. On the other hand, women spent the most time cooking and washing, while repairing was least done by females.
It can be seen that men used about 137 minutes each day watching TV, video and listening to the radio, whereas women spent 19 hours less than, for 118 minutes. There was nearly no difference in the reading time of both males and females, 8 and 9 minutes respectively. Men spent about 15 minutes for sports, which was 4 minutes greater than women
The graph illustrates that women spend much more time than men washing, cooking, shopping and doing laundry. While it took females nearly 80 minutes to cook and wash, males spent for 25 minutes. The amount of time females used for shopping and doing laundry was almost similar, about 30 and 28 minutes respectively. However, males spent less time completing laundry than going shopping. 37 minutes were used for shopping and half an hour for laundry.
Men used much time repairing stuffs than women, for 29 minutes and 10 properly .
