Given is a bar chart comparing the amount of different types of products which Scotland exported to the remainder of the UK and those to the rest of the world in 2014.
Overall, it is apparent from the chart that Scotland was less likely to have goods exported to the UK than other counterparts of the world, except for electrical and instrument engineering. The difference in business services, finance, hotel and restaurant services was the most significant.
According to the information, in 2014, in terms of products traded to the UK, the majority, 5 billion euros, was products in chemical and mineral, followed was food and drink manufacture and electrical and instrument engineering, namely 4.4 and 4 billion respectively. Agriculture, forestry and fishing and mining were the least popular products exported. In contrast, business services, finance, hotel and restaurant services accounted for the largest products traded to the rest of the world, being 13.8 billion euros and the minority 2.3 billion was in electrical and instrument engineering.
It is evident that Scotland had a tendency to export more to other counterparts of the world than to the rest of England, and by far the most considerable gap between them was noticed in business services, finance, hotel and restaurant services, with the latter outnumbered the former nearly 7:1. Export in regard to electrical and instrument engineering, however, showed a converse trend with the amount of goods which were traded to the rest of the UK approximately doubled those to the rest of the globe.
