The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given table provides the collective information about the date of opening, distance covered (in kilometers) and usage by passenger per year (in millions) of underground railway systems in six big cities such as London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles.
Overall, it is found that first underground railway stations were opened in London whereas recently opened in Los Angeles. However, largest distance covered by London systems but Tokyo railway system but Tokyo railway system maximum used by passengers per year.
In London, railway system opened in 1863 and it covers 394 kilometers; and carries 775 million passengers per year while Kyoto railway system covers very little distance just 11kilometers and carries only 45 million passengers per year as a comparison to other cities as well. Furthermore, maximum passengers carried by Tokyo underground railway system, 1927 million followed by Paris, 1191 million passengers per year whereas it covers less distance as compared to Paris, 155kilometers and 199kilometers, respectively and both opened in early nineteen. Washington DC railways opened in late nineteen's (1976), it covered 126 kilometers distance and 144 million passengers used underground railway system per year for traveling while Los Angeles railway system is the newest system(2001) and the route it covers is 28kilometers with carrying capacity of 50 million people.
In conclusion, London underground railway system is the oldest one while the maximum number of people traveled using Tokyo railways and Kyoto covers the minimum distance as compared to other big cities.
