Essay topics:

Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.
Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter:
• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I came across an advertisement published by you in local newspaper for some help in daily chores in your home in the next summer season. I am very much interested in this opportunity and willing to apply for the same. From cleaning dishes, watering plants, organizing your house to helping with cooking, I can be of help in all these household activities.

The major reason that I am looking forward for this job is that I have a summer break and I am willing to contribute in my college fees payment, hoping that it will reduce some burden from my parents shoulders. Also, since I always help my mother with these things, I am sure I will not let you down.

Additionally, since I am also looking out for an internship in a technology-based company, I might be available after 4 pm on working days i.e. from Monday to Friday. While I can accommodate more hours in the morning as well on weekends i.e. on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Kind Regards,
Shaheed Pathan
