One of your colleagues is leaving for a new job, your manager has asked you to arrange a leaving party for him.
Write a letter to your manager and
•Suggest a suitable day and time for the party
•Recommend a place
•Discuss about the food and entertainment options available
Dear Mr Markas,
I am writing in connection with the arrangements for the farewell party for our most honourable member of our team named Mr Julian Smith.
As you know, Mr Smith is leaving Earnest and Young from the position of Manager Finance and his last day in the office will be 31st May 2020. So, I reckon that on the evening of 29th May 2020 would be the best day to throw the party for him. Wouldn’t it be?
I vividly remember that he met you at the Hyatt Hotel, Sydney, during the BRIC conference and you were impressed by his achievements. Consequently, you offered him this position in our organization and he accepted. Owing to this fact, I believe that this event would become special to him if we can do arrangements in the same hotel.
Furthermore, I have also confirmed from the hotel authorities about the buffet plans and they are ready for the theme party in which they will serve us Cocktails, Mocktails with more than 50 types of cuisines. Besides this delicious cake cutting ceremony will also be arranged. As we have just 2 days left, venue authorities requested to confirm the booking on or before 25th May 2020 to make the necessary arrangements.
I hope you would like my opinion and I look forward to getting a positive response.
Yours Sincerely
Tom Smith
