On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter:
describe the item you lost
explain how you lost it
tell the insurance company what you want them to do
Dear Mr Steves,
I am writing this letter with regard to the travel insurance policy, I bought from your company a few months ago. I would like to make a claim under that policy. Last week, I went for a family holiday in Turkey and I lost my handbag and a camera during this trip.
Let me explain the situation in more detail. We went for dinner in a restaurant named “Indian Spices” on 22nd May, and I forgot my maroon colour Lavie purse, the modal number of which was L302M and a Nikon camera, modal number of which was NH320P, inside the dining hall of that place. When we came back to our room, I realized that I forgot my valuables and we immediately rushed back to that place, but I couldn’t find my belongings there. The manager over that place mentioned that some other customer must have taken the items and, even they hadn’t installed any cameras within the restaurant which could have helped in the tracking of the thief.
The things I lost cost around 500 dollars in total. As per terms in the policy, you can either refund the amount or can give a new handbag or a camera as a replacement for lost things. Please let me about the further formalities.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely,
Harman Kaur
