Essay topics:

Write a letter to your friend who lives in another country and in your letter:
• a. Invite him/her to a public event in your country.
b. Describe the public event.
c. Explain about other plans you have for your friend when he/she will visit.

Dear Jason,

Hope everything is fine. It has been 3 weeks that we have not been in touch. I am writing you for an invitation.

I wish to invite you at my home if you can come to Izmir, Turkey where is going to host an Ottoman festival in the city centre next month on 27th of June. It would be a great opportunity for us to spend time together, furthermore we can explore the unique conventions of Ottoman Empire in the festival.

In the event, each period of that Empire is illustrated by famous actors and actresses in 10 different venues. Moreover, many Ottoman cuisines are offered in the restaurants in the festival zone. Many people all around Turkey visit that event so as to discover the lifestyle of Ottoman society.

Apart from the event, we can go to Cesme where is mostly popular with its beaches and seaside. This district is one of the most attractive destinations in Turkey in summertime. In addition, we can travel to Istanbul where is the most visited hotspot for tourists in Turkey. We can wal around the Sultanahmet Square and we can have a tour in the Bosphorus Straits.

I hope you are available next month and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Wishes,
Ali Larter
