Essay topics:

You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter

introduce yourself

explain what is wrong with the furniture

say what action you would like the landlord to take

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear .................,

You should write at least 150 words.

Dear Mr. Smith,

My Name is Tony and I am your new tenant. I have recently moved in with my Parents, wife and 2 daughters. You definitely have a lovely property however, I have some concern regarding the furniture you provided.

The condition of the mattress provided in both the bedrooms are worn-out. The springs in the mattress are not functioning properly which has resulted in back pain for my parents. Also the chairs provided at the dining table are quite old and the paint or polish of those chairs is wearing out. Dining table is not stable, on checking the table, we saw that one of the leg of the table is loose which is causing the table to shake.

As the furniture and the maintenance of the furniture was part of the accommodation, I would request to kindly change the mattress for both the bedrooms. kindly get the dining table fixed and the chairs changed, as the chairs are now too old to be repaired.

I hope you will get these things done as soon as possible as the family is facing issues due to this.

Yours faithfully,
Tony Stark
