You are going to spend your vacation in a city in a foreign country. You have never been there before. Your cousin has a friend who lives there. Write a letter to the friend. In your letter
• Introduce yourself
• Say why you are making this trip
• Ask some questions about the city (e.g. places to see, things to do, things to bring)
Hi Thomas,
This is Felix, one of the cousins of Patrick. Hope you are doing well. I have planned to visit London for this summer vacation. Since this is my first trip to London, I don't know much about the place. So I asked Patrick for suggestions and he referred you. He told me that you are living in London for many years and would be familiar about the places.
The purpose of my visit is to refresh myself from the work stress which I had in this quarter. I was very much frustrated with the work in the office. So I thought of having a vacation for a week before stepping in to the next quarter. Thus, I planned my trip to London.
I would like to know about the places in the city where I could spend some time to relax myself. Please suggest me some good hotels as I do not know where to stay. Moreover, I need some advises about the things that I suppose to bring with me during the vacation. So that I don't have to buy them in London.
Please do the needful in this regard so that I could book the fight tickets in prior. Meet you in London. Bye.
Best regards,
Felix
