You are going to throw a party and would like to cook a special dish for your guests but do not have the recipe. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter:
• tell your friend why you are having a party
• explain what dish you want to cook and ask your friend for the recipe
• invite your friend to the party
Dear Sarah,
Hope you are doing well and have settled down in your new job. I’m planning to host a party for a few family members and friends on the 11th of September 2021.
I’ve finally got through with my visa formalities to re-locate to Finland and will be leaving by the end of September 2021. Before leaving I wanted to bid goodbyes to my loved ones and create some fond memories to take along with me, as I do not know when I would be visiting next.
I’ve arranged for food with a group of caterers but I was thinking of trying my hand at cooking something special for the guests. I would love to prepare your famous roast chicken and was wondering if you could please help me with the recipe. It is the best among all your creations and I remember how all of us would devour it during our college hostel days.
I know that you are busy figuring out your new roles and responsibilities, but it would be great if you could come over to my place a day or two in advance and return after the party. It would be a good break for the both of us and have fun cooking just like the old days.
Eagerly waiting for your response.
Yours lovingly
Naadhya
