You are studying English at a private language school attended by many international students. You are planning a surprise birthday party for a friend who has been feeling particularly sad and homesick. Write to another classmate and invite him/her to the party. In your letter:
• explain the reason for the party
• give the date and time of the party
• suggest what the classmate could bring to the party
Begin your letter as follows: Dear ________
Dear Jack,
How’re you buddy? Actually, through this letter I would like to invite you on my friend’s surprise birthday party.
As you know her, she is very intelligent girl of our class. But now these days I observe, she is mostly sad all the time due to her mother’s health. Further, she would like to stay at home after classes. Hence, I would like to through a party for her to make her rejuvenate.
I know many of our classmates are from overseas and not aware about the area of our city Patiala. Owing to this, birthday party is organized at our English language school on 10 November.
I already took permission from our class in charge to celebrate her birthday in our class. Moreover, I suggest you to bring decoration material such as balloons, artificial flowers to make our classroom beautiful. See you at 10 November at 8 o’clock at our class to make all the arrangements. I am eagerly waiting to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Aman
