Dear Derrick,
Hope you are doing well. I would like to sadly inform you about the postponement of my trip from 15 July to 1st August due to an important event at home. Let me explain in detail.
To elucidate my cousin Jenny is getting married and it took all of us by surprise. As you know that she is of our age group, therefore, she holds a special place in my heart from childhood days so it crucial for me to attend her marriage. The marriage functions will last about a week from 15th July to 27th of July. Although I was planning to skip the marriage event however I have been given additional responsibilities for making arrangement during the event as her father is sick. Additionally, I would like to apologize for the trouble I have caused you since you had made arrangements for my stay at your home moreover you had cancelled all your prior appointments and made some advance bookings to tourist attractions spots.
Lastly, I plan to visit London in the 1st week of August as the weather is pleasant and best for sight-seeing. Additionally, Terry will also accompany me this time as she is fond of travelling and exploring new destinations.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
With love
