You have applied for a job at two different companies. Both have decided to choose you. Write a letter to decline one of the job offers. In your letter, apologize for not being able to accept that position and also your circumstances for turning them down.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in response to your offer to work as a Creative Art Director at your esteemed agency. I am afraid, I shall not be able to accept it.
Unfortunately, I have decided to take up another job opportunity coming my way. Little did I know of my chances of landing a better job profile at another popular advertising firm. A creative opportunity to lead a multi-regional team has been my dream and has finally manifested for me, into a reality.
It truly was a dilemma, to choose between an enriching experience of being a part of your organization or pursuing my professional aspiration of acquiring a job title of a 'National Creative Director'. One of the other main reasons to decline this offer is the long hours of commuting. I would like to spend more time with my family.
I apologize for the convenience, and sincerely want to thank you for considering me as a deserving candidate for the position offered. I admire your work environment and I truly appreciate your quick and favorable response. I wish you and your company good luck in the future.
Yours sincerely,
Kathy
