You have been invited to attend an interview for a place studying a course in a college. Unfortunately, because of a previous appointment, you cannot come at the time they wish. Write a letter to the admissions tutor and explain your position. Apologize and offer to come on another day or later the same day. Ask also how long the interview will be and whether there will be any tests during it.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in connection with the place that you gave me, in order to attend the Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery. In the beginning, I will introduce myself. My name is Doaa Okaila, I am a senior dental student in my last year studying dentistry at REU.
I am grateful that you give me the opportunity to do the interview to take place in that fascinating course. But, unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. Because I have an important previously booked appointment from before one month. Which related to my heart surgery. Thus, why I can’t change its date or even take another one. In another word, I will be highly appreciated if you allow me to come in another day or later on the same day of the interview if you don’t mind.
One more question. Could you please inform me how long it will be and there will be any tests during it? However, I need to know may I can do my best to try as much as possible to attend.
Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Doaa Okaila.
