Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to formally notify you that I am resigning from the position of Sr. Planning Engineer effective from 1st May. I would like to express my gratitude for six wonderful years I have spent with you.

It was a joyful journey for me to work in such esteemed organization. The company has offered me plethora of opportunities to develop my career and skills. The knowledge I have gained in this organization during my tenure of work is priceless and added a feather to my professional career. I have also enjoyed support and guidance of my seniors, coworkers and management had been like family to me.

Sadly, all good things comes to an end, and now I think I need to take one step forward. From my engineering days I always had a dream to complete post-graduation from the reputed university. That dream has come true, as I got admission in one of the most reputed university "Michigan University" in USA to study Masters in Project Management. Even though it is difficult for me to leave this company and my colleagues, but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to live my dream, as I believe completing post-graduation from such a reputed university will give me an edge to my career growth.

I once again like to thank you for offering me all possible support and guidance during my tenure of work in this organization.

Yours faithfully,
Rakesh Soni
