You have a permanent job, and few weeks ago you have started a part-time short course. You are not satisfied with it and want to change this part time course. Write a letter to your professor explaining why you are not satisfied with your present part-time course, and stating which course you would prefer and why.
Dear John,
I am Mary, a student of your economics batch. I am writing this letter in regards to change my part-time course from Economics to Human Resources, as unfortunately I am not satisfied continuing with economics classes.
As you are aware that along with this part-time course, I am working permanently with a major IT company where I have to spend around 9-10 hours of my day on a regular basis. Current schedule of economics class is 4 PM to 6 PM every alternate day of the week, which mostly does not go well with my office hours. Along with that I have to drive around 30 mins from my home to take this class, as this is being organized in downtown. Whereas the Human resource sessions are mostly scheduled at 8 PM to 9 PM on weekends, which I think will be more suitable to me and fit to my office schedule as well. Also, these classes are held comparatively closer from my home, which will definitely save my travel time too. Last but not the least, I think human resource will be a better alternative for my future growth in comparison to studying economics.
I hope you will understand my problems and help me in smooth transitioning from Economics to Human resource.
your's faithfully
Mary
