Essay topics:

You play a team sport with some friends. Last week a member of the team had an
accident and wasn't able to play with you at the weekend. You decide to write to
him in hospital, telling him about the match.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
• tell him which team won
• describe the conditions on the day
• say how you felt about the match

Dear Samir,

I hope this letter finds you in the best of your health and spirit. I was so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are filling better now at your home.

I'm writing you to inform you that we have won the last cricket match against the Gandhinagar team. It was quite interesting match as the opponent was also played well but we managed our victory by tremendous performance by our tail enders.

The atmosphere at the stadium was so energetic as it is full of our and opponent's supporters such that even we couldn't able to hear the team member's voice at the ground. The weather was very sunny, and moisture was not expected by us but unexpectedly, weather became cloudy and due came on the pitch in second half of the match.

All the team members really exited after the win as we are now qualified for the state level tournaments. It was nice filling at the end. Get well soon and hoping to see you soon at the ground in next match.

Yours truly,
Piyush
