You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left some important papers at the hotel. Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:

– Explain the problem

– Say why the documents are important

– Suggest a solution

Dear Sir or Madam,

This is to inform you that I attended a business conference on 1st September at your renowned hotel. Mistakenly, I forgot some of my important documents in room 102, in which I stayed for that day. I am writing this to ask you for the favour of searching for them and sending them to my place.

On the day of departure that is 2nd September, I had to board an early morning flight to Delhi. As far as I remember, I was editing the papers and compiled them in a black folder which has my name engraved on it. In the hassle of catching the flight, I left my files on the study table. These documents are quintessential as it contains all my research work which I had done for my upcoming project. Unfortunately, I do not have any copy of that material and I have a final presentation with the client on coming Monday.

Therefore, I would request you to ask your hotel staff to search for the files and hold them in your possession. Also, I urge you to courier the belongings to my address which I had mentioned in the hotel's entry register. I am ready to pay the expenses.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Prabh
