Essay topics:

You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left some important papers at the hotel.

Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:

Say where you think you left the papers
Explain why they are so important.
Tell the manager what you want him/her to do

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to inquire about the lost documents that I left at your hotel.
My name is James Smith, one of the guests at the senior executives symposium, which I have mindlessly left some pieces of highly important documents back there after leaving the meeting. My table number was 232, a table for 6 people which was placed at the corner of the salon.

As a matter of fact, the papers are extremely life-changing to me. Recently, my company has signed a huge contract with our Russian ally corporation in the agricultural industry that is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and losing these essential papers would be deemed as our reluctance in keeping them. To make the matter worse, my mortgage papers were among them too, meaning that I will have to face a penalty unless I find them and pay my monthly installments on time.

Therefore, I sincerely ask you to have your staff looking for them and also I would be so grateful if you could make some calls to other attendances of the event, checking whether any of them have a clue or not. I hope you understand how vital this matter is to me.

Thank you in advance,

James Smith
