You recently went shopping at the local supermarket. When you got home and noticed your bill, you found that you had been charged for items you did not purchase.
Write a letter to the supermarket manager explaining what has happened. Tell the manager how you feel about the error and tell the manager what you would like him/her to do about it.
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to raise my concern with regards to the invoice about the items I purchased from your store
Let me explain in more detail, I visited your local supermarket for purchasing some products for my home. Since I was busy packing the items I did not go through the bill which was generated by the cashier and paid an amount of Rs 6000 through my Axis Bank Debit Card. However, after reaching home I checked the bill thoroughly, and to my surprise I realised that I have been charged additionally for a Cheese packet and a Deodorant which I have not purchased and was not in the bag too.
I as a customer felt cheated as the clerk charged me additional money because I was not alert at the time of checkout.
I would like you take my matter into consideration and kindly reverse the extra price charged to me in my bank account as soon as possible. I am attaching the copy of invoice for your reference; my invoice number is AN6655 dated 27TH July 2019. I would also recommend you to provide proper training to you staff so that they are able to provide satisfactory services.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Prabhpreet Kaur
