You want to go for a short holiday and invite a friend to join. Write a letter to this friend, in your letter:
• Explain why you need a holiday
• Tell him him/her about the place you want to visit
• Say why he/she should come
Dear Manju,
I am planning a short vacation to Boston this summer and would like to invite you and your family.
As you know, 2020 was extremely stressful for me and my wife as we both lost our parents due to Covid in India. Further, we have cocooned ourselves at home due to Covid fear, which is further miserable for my sons.
My sister has her furnished holiday home Boston, I was considering driving from Montreal to Boston for the stay at her vacation home. Boston has wonderful weather, and the landscape is different from Quebec, the road trip will be worth it.
The house is great for our kids to enjoy the outdoor and I was thinking of a great family time together. There is also a great fireplace in the backyard, I am sure you will love it. Since we will isolate and socialize together, this risk is lower for Covid. Hence, I think it is safe for your family to join us.
Since my sister is travelling to US for the entire summer, we can pick dates that suits us both for the holiday.
Yours friendly,
Pratap
