You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.
Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment in your letter.
• Describe the problem with the equipment
• Explain how this problem is affecting your work
• Say what you want the shop or company to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
First of all, I am writing to inform you about a problem that I recently discovered in my notebook.
I bought a notebook from your store six months ago and it was being announced as the most efficient, faster and highly recomended computer to execute all programs used by a gamer. Despite my doubts, I checked the information about it and got convinced that this was the best equipment to develop my work because I am a designer, so I work with a lot of heavy softwares.
However, on Monday, in this week, I was not able to use the keyboard fully. A couple of numbers and letters are not working when I press them. Being as good as new, the notebook should not do this and it is making me waste precious time because I will have to send a report for a new client by Saturday. This issue with computer must be solved sooner that the week end. On Tuesday I tryed to use your phone to give instructions on what to do, but it took more than twenty minutes to get an answer and gave up.
Therefore, I would be grateful if you could send a technician to help me out and repair my keyboard until Thursday. If you could not send me someone, please, indicate the nearest shop that can fix him and I will deliver it myself right away.
Hopefully you will give the attention that this problem deserves.
Yours faithfully,
Richard Simmons
