Essay topics:

Your child is going on a three day school trip to another country. The head teacher wants to find parents to go with the group and you would like to go.
Write a letter to the head teacher. In your letter:
Say why you would like to go on the trip
Suggest what you could do to help during the trip
Ask other questions about the trip

Dear Teacher,

I’m writing to let you know my willingness in accompanying the 6th graders on their annual school trip.

I would be extremely delighted to join the trip to Greece as my daughter has also registered for the same. Despite the fact that I feel protective towards my daughter, it would be great fun if we both could enjoy this international trip.

I can keep the count of the students at all times, especially the girls. Girls will need some supervision and help at dorms and restrooms in unfamiliar places, as well , which I can handle efficiently. Also, there should be someone to look after the children in open, public places, as safety measures.

At what time exactly are we starting on Monday? So that I can make the necessary arrangements beforehand. Do we need to carry any Winter clothing, as it's October? How are the medical emergencies during the trip going to be dealt?

I hope to hear a favorable response soon.
Thank You.

Yours faithfully,
Susan Jim
