Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
Explain why you cannot go anymore
Say who can go instead of you
Say why this person is a good person to go with
Dear Mahi,
First of all, I would like to thank you for considering me for a movie plan. But, I regret to say that, I would not be able to join you because some important official work has suddenly come up which cannot be postponed. As I have told you earlier, I have a review meet the following week for which I was working on a presentation. My boss wants to look at the first draft by today end of day.
However, my roomate is very keen to see this film and if you are comfortable, she can acompany you this time. I am sure that you will enjoy watching picture with her as she has an extremely good sense of humour which will multiply the fun of the movie as it is of comic genre.
I am not feeling good as I am ditching you at the eleventh hour. Hope you understand my situation. I promise you that we will be going for the movie over the weekend.
Yours friendly
Prerna
