Dear Mr. Smith,
I am sorry for the noise from my house last Saturday. All inconveniences caused are greatly regreted. I hope you can accept my apology and forgive my misbehave. I am sincerely grateful that you wrote to me regarding this matter.
Last Saturday, I was holding a party with several friends in my house. We had barbecue and enjoyed some beer; afterward, we sat down and chated while tasting Chinese red tea. I am terrible sorry about the noise from our activities. I utterly understand your discontent because I also appreciate the tranquility of the neighborhood.
I promise you that incidents like this will never happen again. I will never hold a party in my house because of the inevitable noise from it. Thank you again for your bringing this issue up via letter.
Yours sincerely,
Jim pan
