Your neighbors have recently written to you to complain about the noise from your house flat.
Write a letter to your neighbors. In your letter
• Explain reasons for the noise
• Apologize
• Describe what action you will take
Dear Mark,
Hope this letter finds you in the pink of your health. I have received a letter from your side in reference to the noise coming from my apartment. Let me explain the situation.
To elucidate, I have recently moved into this new apartment as I purchased it from the previous owner and found out that there is a water leakage issue in the washroom which was not fixed. The leakage from the water pipe is making the bedroom walls damp and thus needed an immediate repair thus I took permission from the resident's welfare association for carrying such work. I can understand the noise coming from my flat is irritating and disturbing kids while sleeping and studying hence would like to apologize. To reduce the noise from tomorrow onwards I would instruct the labour not to carry major repair jobs which create additional noise after 6 pm.
I look forward to your cooperation and look forward to seeing you soon.
Yours sincerely
Ben
