Lectures given by teachers in universities used to be the only way of teaching students, however, nowadays technology has evolved and made it possible to study online. This causes many people to believe that the lecture system will not be needed in the future. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
In this era of information technology, it has become much easier to get access to knowledge from any part of the world on personal choice. Gone are the days when learners would attend university lectures, in this hour technology allows people to watch lectures on their preferences without travelling or following others schedule. So many people reckon that their direct lectures are on more required as it will be easy to avail podcasts or online classes. I disagree with this statement as live lecturers have a major influence on learners from a psychological perspective.
To start with, the major reason why some individuals believe the future generations will depend online classed completely is that it is nothing but the vast availability of live or uploaded lectures online and other materials. In other words, technology has provided the user interface to broadcast one's presentation worldwide through internet television which is expected to be less costly and convenient by coming decades. This facility promotes educators to update their classes in the online classrooms and keep it for future generations as well. As there are plenty of discussions and lecturers they would not prefer to attend university lectures so far.
Yet, I personally feel that attending the lecturer on the campus has a major influence in social or psychological perspective, as it helps to build good behaviour and career success. When people are busy in online classes they are getting away from the sole purpose of education as the university professors have a great deal in moulding the best responsibility traits by keeping an emotional connection with the disciples. Moreover, this relation equips the learners to be bold enough to face the harsh realities of the modern world where online lectures fail.
To conclude, although online resources give the individual's plethora of information by accessing to experts and attending live lectures, attending live classes in the campus satisfies the aim of getting educated by creating the best citizens for the nation.
