The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given picture illustrates the outline of a small town, whose name is Islip, and the plans for improving it in the future.
Overall, a dual-carriageway is going to be built, followed by plenty of additions and modifications of facilities.
As can be observed, there is now a main road leading straightforwardly to 2 rows of shops in the north. Heading east from the west, a school is located to the eastern south of that road and a park is on the other side. In addition, situating between those 2 buildings are 2 residential areas, which are in the center of the countryside.
Regarding the planned project, a dual-carriageway will be constructed covering the 2 rows of stores, the main road, the housing zones, and the park. Furthermore, the main road will be turned into a pedestrian zone with the shops to the north of it being replaced by a bus station, a shopping center, a new car park, and a new area for accommodating. While the shops in the south and the school remain unchanged, the car park will be decreased in size to make room for a larger housing area.
