Learning language online using content on the internet has several advantages over traditional classroom learning. While some people believe that enrolling in online courses have eased the learning process, others maintain that traditional classroom learning was far better. This essay will discuss why online course is more advantageous as compared to conventional classroom learning.
Web basesd lectures are increasingly becoming popular over traditional lectures. Students now have the flexibility to decide the time of the lecture so as to make use of the time available more efficiently. Also, since the online language course does not require students to be present in some college, it saves the time of going to college and returning and in turn provides more time to concentrate on the learning. The online learning course also has the facility to be altered as per requirement which seems impractical in the conventional lectures. Online language learning has therefore superseded the conventional lecture based learning.
Lecture based learning though primitive, still is considered as best learning process by some people. These people believe that lecture based learning brings a sense of punctuality and discipline in the individual; however they disregard the flexibility students are provided using online learning courses. Conventional lectures do have some benefits like helping individuals be punctual and provide a platform where active discussions amongst other students could take place but these now are also possible using Online learning lectures as students are on a web conference.
This essay discussed why online learning language has gained popularity over over conventional lectures and why it is considered as a learners first choice.
While there are some compelling arguments on both sides, the advantages of web based learning far outweighs merits of traditional lecture based learning. Online language learning hence is considered over traditional classroom based learning by students all around the world.
