Technology effects our everyday lives. Give examples of how technology helps us and discuss any disadvantages it may bring.

Our day to day existence is heavily influenced by technology. One school of thought completely relies on how easy the things have become, the other mentions all the negative aspect of it. From being easily available, to becoming total haphazard, we’ve seen it all. There is a huge cost that we incur while being addicted to technology.

The most favourable factor that it has given humans is to be able to communicate with our dear ones while we are away from them. Not only does it allow us to talk to them, but we can even drop messages which can be replied as per the wishes of reciever. Yes, phone has definitely made our lives easier, but some of us don’t realize how addictive they’ve become. We are so much inclined towards them that the first thing we see, in the morning after getting up, is our phone. Research shows that the young generation would check their phones ten times in an hour and check for likes on their social media posts. Even in the parties, they’d keep on staring at the mobile, being rude to the other people around them.

Another example can be taken for the transportation. It has helped a lot of people to commute in a matter of minutes. In case someone’s willing to buy something, they’d just get into their fancy cars, drive for two miles, buy the stuff and head back home. This has made humans lathargic and so prone to physical vulnerabilities, that was not quite the case in older times. People used to walk miles and used to have less health issues. Some scientists have come to a conclusion that around 63% of the middle-aged men are obese. Not only that, the infants that are born to them also bear similar characteristics and tend to gain weight quite easily. Although commuting can be a gift of technology, however can have adverse effects on pollution as well.

To conclude, it is important for us to understand what is good and bad for us. Having to rely too much on technology is fine, but are we ready to bear its cost?
