Which do you prefer? Some people would like to upload pictures and other information on social networking websites while others do not like to create such records.
With the development of the internet, people can spread information to almost any corner of the world. It becomes more and more convenient for us to share all kinds of things including pictures and other knowledge. Thus, a heated debate has arisen among the public about whether should people upload pictures and other information on social networking websites or they shouldn’t. As for me, I prefer the former option. My reasons and examples are given below.
First, sharing things on social networking websites can help maintain our relationships with others. A big advantage of using the internet is that we can communicate with people regardless of the distance between us. By posting pictures and other information about us give those who we have relationship with an opportunity to learn the life situation of us, and also an approach interact with us. Taking myself for example, I get to go home only twice a year because my hometown is far from campus. I can’t imagine what will happen if I just stop posting pictures of me and my life on the social media, for it is an essential way for my distant families and friends get to know what’s been happening about my life. By those comments they leave below my posts, I can know about them as well.
Second, uploading information on the website can help transmitting useful knowledge and right beliefs. In the past, without the internet, people can acquire limited information due to the lack of effective spreading approach. Nonetheless, by using the internet, we can search for any resources or even learn unexpected information as long as they’re accessible. Either the amount or the accessibility of information has changed completely, only if someone has uploaded these messages. Imagine such a scene, if no one is willing to record anything on the websites, it’ll gradually leave our generation nothing but a bank space of our lives.
Admittedly, I’m not saying that we can upload anything we want or we can trust everything we learn from the internet. Fault information is inevitable if everyone from any stages can possess the access to upload things on it. Thus, it becomes more important for us to have the ability to identify the genuine information from those fabricated ones.
To put it in a nutshell, the benefits uploading photos and information on the networking websites overweight its harm. For sharing information is a characteristic of the modern world, and it is exactly what makes the world a much better one than before.
