about finding fossil
The reading and lecture are both about whether the T-rex fossil, which scientists found with the maintenance of tissue, is a real one or not. The text presents three explanations to posit why this maintenance bone tissue includes the blood cell and collagen. The professor, on the other hand, refutes all of those explanations.
To begin with, the author of the reading claims that they are breaking a leg of dinosaur deliberately and see inside the bone the small channels and branches that are being the location of vessels. Nevertheless, the professor opposes this claim by mentioning that this soft substance inside the bone is not blood, and it is something else. Also, she states that after the animal dies, an empty place like the location of the blood vessel might fill with the moister substance, and bacteria colony makes the liquid, so this is not blood.
Secondly, the article posits that a scientist finds a red cell sphere during the investigation. Moreover, they see some of sphere are darker than others and maybe have some iron. The professor maintains on opposites the opinion that this iron sphere does not find in other primitive animals, and this argument is weird, and she says that perhaps this dark color associated with a reddish mineral that producing on the fossils.
Third, the reading states that the scientist finds collagen in the bone of fossils. The professor, however, casts doubt on this claim by stating that collagen can exist just 1000 years, but this fossil lives 170 million years ago, so the collagen does not last. Besides, she says that maybe this collagen comes from the skin of the researcher carry t-rex dinosaur.
