Do you agree or disagree: Students are more interested in politics now than they were in the past.
In such a civilized society, in spite of different disagreements, people have in various areas so far as one’s view goes, one point that virtually everybody approves upon is the importance of the politics. This is mostly owing to the fact that it plays an important role in each country. With this in mind, a broad range of controversial attitudes might stimulate heated debate as students have encouraged more than a few decades ago to continue their higher education in politics. I personally concur with this claim. Among the many reasons one can give for this point, two conspicuous reasons will be elaborated through ensuing lines.
The first and prominent reason which comes to the mind is that a vast majority of our news in mass media is related to politics and interaction of various countries with together. It goes without saying that peace is the most significant issue throughout the sophisticated world due to a huge number of conflicts and wars in several regions of the world such as in Yemen, Afghanistan, etc. As a result, students encounter with these events and thus become more interested to know more about the politics by organizing of groups in the social networks such as Facebook to argue with together.
Another equally important reason which deserves some words here is that nowadays, the politician's lives is more convenient compared to other careers. Needless to say that, the salary of all politicians is higher than other jobs due to the sensitivity and difficulty of responsibility. Therefore, most of the students have been encouraged to politics. According to a recent but reputable research conducted at the Sharif University of Technology, among the huge number of randomly selected students of various high schools in my country, it was found that the number of students who want continue their studies in politics at the university is thriving with a rate of 13 percent annually.
Last but not the least reason is that there are a great number of available books and articles related to the politics compared to several years ago which students can read and study through the Internet or in the libraries. Take myself as an example, as I am a senior student of politics, I have read lots of articles, written by various authors, related to the Middle-East interaction with the United States. In articles, I found the justification of interactions from different angles and thus gave me a great opportunity to realize a good perspective on this issue.
In conclusion, there are numerous reasons which can be persuasive enough to substantiate my view. Based on the given reasons above, which are the mass media and the salary gained by politicians, I highly recommend that authorities should provide a high atmosphere for students to investigate politics.
