Employee should work four days with less amount of money or five days.
The reading passage states that in a company some workers prefer to work for four days instead of five days and they also don;t have any problem if they are paid less because they thought that it will hel them and the company also to achieve success and prosperity. But the lecture states that completely different and inaccurate in order to the reading passage.
First, the reading passage states that if the workers can get four day work load, they will get more rest and they will be more rlaxed and they can give their best for the betterment of the company and thus the company can achieve more profit and success. But the lectures states that it may be possible that the company can tell the employee to work overtime to make up the loss. And it can be possible that the company will except more from the employees during their four days work period. Then, it can be possible that the employees become more overloaded and frustrated witk their over work pressure.
Second, the reading passage states that by favoring four hour work load, it will reduce unemployment rate and more people will get the opportunity to work in the company because the people who prefer four hour working schedule will pay less than the people who prefer five hour work schedule and in this amount they can able to afford some more employee. But, the lecture states that if they will hire more employee, they will have to train the new employee and for arranging the training sessions, they have to pay more money. Moreover, if the number of employees are increased than they will need more office space and more computer. So, the company has to pay more money and it will hamper the progress of the company.
Third, the reading passage states that the employees who will work for four days will able to improve their quality of living. They can spend more time with their families, friends and thus they can able to get plethora of hapiness in their life. However, the lecture states that it may be possible that the company will prefer those people who like to work for five days than the people who like to work for four days. And, in time of promotion or any other benefit they will prefer the employees who work for five days because they may think that they will be more dedicated to their company and work hard for the success of the company. And, thus the employee who work for four days can not get the opportunity to get the promotion and benefits and it will hamper their success and career. It will definitely a negative point in their carrer. In these ways the lecture differs the reading passage.
