In an overview, in this speech and reading discussed arguments about experience acute stress and benefits and drawbacks of its also, reveal their roles about women and men behaviors. Deliberately, the essential indications in the lecture cast doubt on the fundamental points in the reading. First of all, the lecture states that the men and women deal with stressful situations differently. While, men have "fight or flight" reaction, women prefer to have "tend and befriend" reaction. However, this is contrasts the topic in reading that the asserts that it is an ancient survival mechanism, common all humans equally. Furthermore, about to meet stressful situation, the lecture declares that women under stress will attack a problem rather than another person and avoid to fight with individuals. Although, this is opposite with clues of the reading that clearly indicates the fight response is expressed as aggressive behavior. For example, when encounter with an enemy and display fighting, it is an angry behavior. Finally and importantly, the lecture explain that women under stress seek help and support from friends. They prefer listen to advice of their friends and try to avoid running away. While this challenges the content in the text that believes the flight response causes humans to withdraw from situations where stress being occur and This is similar to prehistoric ancestors when they encountered a predator because they had to avoid being killed.
