it is impossible to live in Venus' surface permanent
The reading and the lecturer are both about living in Venus' surface is possible or not. The author of the reading believes that it is not plausible for people can survive there beacause of the harsh condition on Venus. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article meaning that peresence on Venus is not without chalanges, but it is certainly possible by solving some issus in that high atmosphere.
First of all, the author claims that the pressure in Venus' surface is so high. If human land on Venus, they will be crushed completely. This point is challenge by the lecture. He says that the presure in high station will be lower than at the surface. By staying in high location this problem will be solved. In the other hand, nothing will be crushed there asa far as the presure there is equal the presure in the earth.
Secondly, the author states that on Venus' surface not only there is no water but also it is lack of the any oxygen that human need for life. In addition, it is nearly impossible to supply the requirement of water and oxygen from earth. The lecturer refuts this. She suggests the Venus' surface contains alot of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulfuric asid. Therefore, by the use of of these marterial and chemical process, water and oxygen can be made, and human will be able to produce their needed by chemical material obtain Venus' atmosphere. So there is no need to import them from earh.
Finally, the author mentions that beacause of the thick clouds that are available around the Venus, the large amount of sunlight is not capable to reach in Venus. As a resault, it makes it impossible for human to use of solar power cells to provide their require electricity energy for their machines. The lecturer, on the other hand, states that the cloud thats exist around the Venus are not very thick and a considrable amount of sunlight can reflect to earth. Human can use this reflection and collect the sunlight which is reached to surface to generate electricity and provide their need to power.
