The reading and the lecture talk about the carved stone balls. The lecture opposes the reading passage and logically dispute all the specific points that the reading presents .The professor in her lecture refutes this argument and challenges all the reasons in the reading.
First, the reading mention that the curved stone was an instrument to hunt or fight. The lecture presents different points of view about this. She mention that in indeed the stone show some wearing areas, but most of the time many of it are very well-preserved.
Secondly, the reading claims, the stone was used for scale or measure as a system. Nevertheless the lecture state that, some the stone are uniform in density in depence of their characteristic . In fact they have different density , the material in very important made quartz , sand and green .However even when they have the same size , is not the same weight.
Finally, According to the reading the stone were used to delimit the society status. the lecture refutes this argument saying that. the ball found are extremely simple, so is no evidence of this in thumbs or grok . In conclusion this stone is no remarkable social status in the community. This hoe the lecture contradicting the reading passage.
